USGBC Detroit Regional Chapter and Wayne State University are working together to create Detroit's first ever Better Block, which will occur as part of the Detroit Design Festival, in an effort to raise awareness of complete streets, placemaking methods, and the potential for healthy, vibrant neighborhoods in the city. The site will feature food and drinks, work by local artists and artisans, and entertainment and exhibits from nearby venues. This blog will chronicle our progress and execution of the project from start to finish.

Vanguard Community Development Corporation is excited to announce their 1st Annual North End Holiday Pop-Up Market on Thursday, December 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday, December 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The event will celebrate local vendors and provide opportunities to showcase their goods at 6565 and 6544 Woodward Avenue.
Come support this event in the North End (the neighborhood that also houses our DDF Better Block Site)!
